Features:As the largest resettlement project, Yihemei New Residential Estate includes 6,226 households to be relocated from 138 natural villages. It involves 80 administrative villages of 12 townships. Its supporting facilities consists of four major functional parts: kindergarten, primary school, community hospital and administrative service center, all of which make the new residential estate the top-grade relocation area in Zhangbei.
According to the plan, functional elements of housing, education, service, playing and relaxing, and traffic are arranged appropriately so as to create a comprehensive and sustainable new-typed grid system where multiple interactions between creation, resting and ecology could be achieved.
Overall, a comprehensive residential community is built through connecting the ecological axis inside with the city landscape belt outside. In terms of architectural style, Neo-Chinese elements are cleverly combined with modern materials. In this way, the essence of traditional architectural philosophy is inherited and traditional buildings carry a modern atmosphere as well.
